I am the thief of tender moments.
Fuelled by ideas not yet fully formed, shown in a half-light my work is a journey for meaning in a world I did not create, with histories and narratives I did not write. My creative practice explores the depths of identity and belonging - in search of a voice and a home.
My method is one of collage and fragmentation, weaving together conversations, recall, memory, and multi-representations in an intricate patchwork. Drawing on my experience as a documentary maker I am fascinated by how stories present themselves within society and seek to disrupt established narrative structure by creating a space for meaning to fall into. What lives and what dies in the process of making?
