Artist Statement

My work is unapologetically sentimental, striving to capture the essence of private moments using only the traces left behind. Revealing the intimacy of the human experience my work plays with the themes of love and loss. Working predominantly in the time-based mediums of film, photography, and sound, I am interested in evoking emotions without explicitly describing them, my central question is one of presence.

How can a creative practice keep a living dialogue between maker and audience, what lives and what dies in the process of making?
